This country between Turkey and Iran is located at the foot of the mountain Ararat. About half an hour away from the capital Jerewan the Temple Garni was cunstructed on a hill. The building of basalt and wood was constructed around 115 A.D. in the roman style. The convent Geghard was built in the 4th century A.D. into a rock and has fantastic spaces with a great acoustic. Also in modern times this country has amazing examples of architecture.
